The Brief
Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation wanted a signature digital donor wall for the main atrium of its new seven-storey patient tower, one able to recognise a large volume of donors, and to hold the centre of the space as its defining feature.
The Work
Envision designed an elegant, timeless fixture whose angled form creates a sense of depth in an atrium with a relatively low ceiling. The digital wall wraps a key corner of the lobby and feeds into a permanent static wall commemorating the donors who supported the capital campaign behind the tower. Envision was engaged from the outset, designing, engineering, fabricating, and installing the wall, with materials chosen so the finished piece read exactly as conceived: integrated within the architecture, yet standing on its own.
The Relationship
The donor wall was one part of a wider remit. Envision went on to deliver a static recognition wall, wayfinding, and a complete interior and exterior signage system, developing a single cohesive design standard for the hospital and phasing its rollout to match the construction schedule.
