The Brief
SickKids Foundation wanted to transform the entrance lobby of the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning into something more than a threshold, a place where the generosity of donors and the significance of the work happening inside could be felt by everyone who walked through the door.
The Work
Envision created a donor recognition ecosystem that tied storytelling directly to recognition: a main digital wall, an interactive touch screen counter allowing visitors to explore patient success stories, and a portrait digital element integrated into the wayfinding pillar. The result gave the Foundation a living environment that could grow and evolve alongside the research it celebrates. The installation was recognised with a DSE Gold Award in the Healthcare Environments category in 2022.
The Relationship
Envision has been SickKids Foundation’s design partner across donor recognition, signage, and digital experience for more than five years, working across the PGCRL, the main hospital lobby, and the Patient Support Centre.
The Envision team created a dynamic, interactive, and incredibly eye-catching donor recognition and information installation in our Research Institute.
